What an exciting week I've had. Last Tuesday I found out I won first place in the 2D division for my painting Solace that I had entered in the Silk Painters International Guild. What an honor. This week my entry 25% Opacity was chosen for the Surface Design Association, Washington chapter for their online exhibition call Surfacing. They even asked if I could join them on a Zoom talk featuring a few artist whose art was chosen. How exciting although I am anxious about revealing my tender soul to the public verbally instead of through my art.
In keeping with revealing myself. . . . This is my first blog.
Fall has begun and all the beautiful colors of the foliage around our town are awe inspiring. The gold and crimson leaves with our evergreen trees sprinkled in here and there is beautiful. With rain in the forecast, I planted 150 tulip bulbs in hopes of having an abundance of gorgeous blooms to get inspiration from in the spring and gardening was a much needed break from painting.
