Another UFO (Unfinished Object)

I have given myself 6 weeks to focusing on perfecting silk painting for wearables. Because I have some upcoming exhibitions to prepare for, I dug through my stash of UFOs. I need to use what I already have. I found this piece that I did a few years ago. I was teaching my self to free motion quit on my not so successful paintings to add dimension. It came out puffy and distorted, but looked kind of cool. A woman that came to booth at the SewExpo instructed me to steam the heck out of it. It worked!

I am submitting this piece for the Farm & Garden, Sea & Shore exhibition at the Meadery at Wilderbee Farms, Port Townsend, opening in June. It is called Busy Bee.

I also have an ArtWorks2 sale to prepare for. It will be in the Fort Worden Ballroom in Port Townsend in July. So far, I painted 2 pieces and I found 2 pieces that I can free motion quilt on, from my stash. I have been also painting one of a kind scarves to sell. I will post more information in the coming months.
