Poppy painting from this summer

I found a series of pictures I took when I was painting a poppy from my garden. I usually start flower paintings from the middle, then work my way outward. Notice how steam-setting makes the dyes more vibrant. This poppy was all orange and the challenge for me was making each petal distinct and balancing the vibrant colors.
